To our volunteers,
I hope everyone is having a great summer! Like you, it is exciting to see life continue to progress towards something that looks a lot more like normal given the devastation of 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many of you participated in our COVID-19 vaccination trial which started last August and for that I would like to say THANK YOU! No matter what trial you have participated in, I want you to know you are all heroes. Continued advancement in the development of disease treatments could not happen without your commitment to making a difference, and for that I applaud you.
As you can imagine, we have had a very busy last 12 months. One exciting development over this past year is the establishment of New Horizon Research Group, our new parent company. As a growing business, we saw the need to create this company to help assure that no matter which of our clinics you use, they all have the same way of doing things and the same focus on safety, quality and study volunteer experience.
Starting in 2008 with North Alabama Research Center in Athens, Medical Affiliated Research Center in Huntsville in 2017 and most recently Cullman Research Center this past March, New Horizon Research Group’s growing number of locations across Alabama all have the same commitment to providing convenient service to each community member who would like to participate in clinical trials and make a difference.
Finally, with the projects and studies we are working on, the future is looking bright and we at New Horizon Research Group look forward to working with all of you to continue looking for new disease treatments that can benefit your communities and the world.
